We have two pick your own Sunflower Patches - one in North Essex and one in South Essex. Postcodes for the Patches are  

SS15 4ER for Basildon Sunflower Patch 

CO6 for Colchester Sunflower Patch 

We will have plenty of Sunflower Patch signs around Essex so look out for the signs and you will be sure to see us! 

Yes! You will need to bring your own pair of secateurs or scissors to cut the stems of the sunflowers yourself.
We welcome all of the family - babies, children, grandparents, cousins, neighbours, everyone - but unfortunately, we do not allow dogs due to Health and Safety (even our little miniature daschund Fudgie has to miss out on the fun!) 

EVERYONE visiting the Sunflower Patch will require a ticket (excluding babies under 1). One group ticket covers up to 4 people!

I'm afraid we cannot allow dogs at the Sunflower Patch.
Yes you will need to book tickets to visit the sunflower patch to ensure we can safely open. Tickets cost £15 which allows up to 4 people access to the sunflower fields, field of fun area, fun trail, photo opportunities and car parking. Everyone visiting the Sunflower Patch (excluding babies under 1) will need a ticket. For example, if you have 5 people visiting the Sunflowers you will need to purchase 1 group ticket and 1 additional ticket.  Individual tickets are available - check booking website.

You will not be permitted entry to the site without a pre booked ticket.

No ticket = no entry. 

In the event we sell out of sunflowers a full refund will be offered. 

The management reserves the right to cancel the event on any day if in their view extreme weather could cause damage to property or could render the site unsafe for use by the public. In these extreme circumstances online tickets could be transferred to another suitable day to be agreed between both parties. 
Once you have booked your tickets, they are not transferable and non-refundable.

Our sunflowers cost £1.00 per stem once picked from the field. 
Colchester: Now closed 
Basildon: 28 July to end of August
Both sites will be open 10am - 3pm with last entry at 2pm. 
Yes the car parking is on grass fields and plentiful. Please follow the marshals as they will direct you where to park.  Please ensure that you adhere to the 5 miles per hour speed limit on site. Cars are parked at the owners' risk.
We all know us British love talking about weather so we will be regularly updating Facebook and the website with weather updates and conditions in the patch so please check these for an update on conditions here at the Sunflower Patches!  

If we have to shut the patches due to wet weather we shall let our customers know on our website and on social media. In these extreme circumstances online tickets could be transferred to another suitable day to be agreed between both parties.
The WHOLE family, your tickets or a phone showing your tickets, your own pair of secateurs or scissors to cut the stems, gloves as the stems can be prickly, a camera to take lots of snaps and selfies of course!
There will be toilets available, but we ask that you only use these if necessary and make sure you use hand sanitiser before and after use. 

COLCHESTER - We will have a horsebox  selling light refreshments including hot and cold drinks, snacks and ice cream.  Please note the Horsebox is card only.
BASILDON - Light refreshments of cold drinks and snacks available.
Yes we do accept card payments and our preference is contactless payments where possible. Unfortunately we do not accept cheques.  
We are a working farm and our patches are in a field, we do have grass paths around the patches which are wheelchair and pushchair accessible at the moment. 

Once you have cut the stem of the sunflower, you will need to pay for them. Once you’ve taken them home, pop them in a nice big vase and enjoy!
