Have you made pumpkin picking in Essex part of your family traditions? This autumn marks 11 years at the original pick your own pumpkin patch. Since 2015, you’ve come for big days out, fresh air and wheelbarrows full of pumpkins. This season is your next limited edition celebration, so don’t miss your chance to be part of it.
The Colchester Pick Your Own Pumpkin Patch open Oct 2026
- 1,000s of pick your own pumpkins and squash directly from the field
- Refreshments- yummy hot chocolates and ice cream from our very own Fox Box, and beastly burgers and spooky sausages from local farm Ragmarsh
- Picnic area provided (please take all litter home)
- Licensed bar for mulled cider, pumpkin beer, prosecco and more!
- Pumpkin corn trail
- Lots of fun for Children
- Bring your camera for all the amazing photo opportunities including Old American Truck, Fergie Tractor, Bale Sofas, love seat and more!!

Make the most of those crisp, sunny early autumn days and get your pumpkin picking Essex trip done before the rush. Pick early in September or early October and relax; your pumpkins will stay fresh for 30+ days right through to Halloween as long as you keep them uncarved in a cool, dry spot.
